9 tips to help you relax

Every evening I try to relax from computer work. It helps me to feel more fresh the next day. The skin looks fresh and rested after a rest.

But one month ago I had a different situation. Every night before bed, I spent time at the computer I worked until 2 am. The next day I felt broken and my skin looked terrible (it was dull and the wrinkles became more noticeable).


Perhaps, this case is familiar to many, isn’t it? Now for me it is a rule that in the evening you need to relax and take care of yourself.

There are many ways to help you relax. It can be yoga, reading your favorite book, watching movie or TV show with cup of your favorite tea.  Below I will tell you 9 ways that help me relax in the evening after a busy day.

1. Yoga or stretching exercises

I feel back pain because I often sit at the computer. Stretching exercises or yoga helps me relax muscles and feel better.

2. Wear something comfortable

Beautiful pajamas helps me tune in to rest.

3. Create comfort around you

At the end of the working day you can turn room into a Happy Place. I buy fresh flowers and light candles. It creates comfort in the room and helps to relax after a long day.

4. Have a cup of delicious tea (or maybe coffee)

In the evenings I do not drink coffee but I like to sit with a cup of favorite tea. This can be a herbal tea that will help relax in the evening.

5. Spend time with family

In the evening we like to sit on the terrace and talk about our plans or dreams. In the morning, usually there is no time for this.

6. Watch a movie with family

We do family movie night a lot.  This is a great way to have a fun evening.

7. Take a bath or shower

Listen to relaxing music and take a bath with salt, make a face mask and then body massage with cream or oil. It is very relaxing before bedtime.

8. Make a pedicure

You can make a foot bath, then massage the feet with cream and put on cotton socks so that skin becomes soft and smooth.

9. To do makeup

Might be not an evening relaxation, but definitely worth trying. I listen to my favorite music, drink coffee and do makeup. It makes my mood better. No need to hurry and do makeup in 5 minutes, of course, if you have time for it.

    I love watching movies with my family or sitting around and having discussions. It is key to have an environment where everyone can voice their opinions without being blacklisted to have a good conversation.

    Exercising helps me focus my thoughts and a good cup of tea is definitely relaxing.

    Yoga & a comfortable environment are my go to ways of helping me relaxed. If I’m out of my own environment I am automatically really uneasy and stressed out. It’s possible just because of my stage of recovery. I also firmly believe in a nice, warm shower with a podcast on for good measure!

    I love these tips! A bath and cup of tea are what I also do! I also often listen to music as I’m laid in bed, especially if I can’t sleep, this helps me drift right of. 🙂
