I have picked up for you 23 life hacks and tips that will help to keep coolness in your house on a hot day, and also to “cool yourself” a little:
- Take meals in small portions – overeating leads to high body temperature.
- Eat spices — eating spicy food involves the natural process of cooling the body, as a result we sweat; the sweat evaporates and we feel better even on a hot summer day.
- Don’t use the oven – it heats the room a lot. On hot days eat fresh salads, sandwiches or make BBQ outdoors.
- Eat cool fruit and vegetables – cucumbers and watermelons contain a lot of water, and it is the best snack!
- Drink more water – tea, coffee, alcohol dehydrate our body, that’s why it is better to replace those drinks with a glass of cold water. But if it is difficult for you to miss your favorite drink – just drink an additional glass of water.
- Make ice cubes – I often forget about it and when I want to drink a glass of cold water, there is no ice.
