Rainy Day Beauty Tips
It is awful when you go out and find out that it’s raining when your hair is done perfectly and your makeup is flawless. Am I right?! Lately the weather was very cloudy and rainy. To say the truth it makes me sad and drives me into depression. Hairstyle becomes spoiled and makeup becomes blurred. There is absolutely no sunlight in the house.
Of course, we cannot influence the weather but we exactly can save our hair and a makeup in ideal form. Here are my recommendations:
- If your hair is long, curly and stick in different directions in the rain, you should do a ponytail, pigtail or a cute lock of hair. Do not even think of doing curls (especially if you have thin hair), because your curls will fall off in a few minutes after leaving home in the humid air.
-
One more tip to avoid frizzy hair. Use a lightweight smoothing, silicone product such as John Frieda Frizz Ease Original 6 Effects Serum or John Frieda Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Styling Spray. Believe me, the John Frieda Frizz Ease is a great for your hair!

If you are lucky and you know in advance about the rain, first, before applying makeup, choose cream shadow and blusher. Cream products last longer (if you deal with rainy weather), while powder texture leave unpleasant stains on your face when getting wet.
-
Light BB Cream is your helper on a rainy day because it lays on the face with a thinner layer and does not require a strong fixation. Heavy foundation have more noticeable on face during the rain, it does not look good.
-
I choose natural eye makeup in the days when the weather is rainy. Smoky eye makeup (hard to clean if it’s wet) so I like the simplicity.
-
Waterproof mascara and eyeliner will be resistant to extreme weather conditions. But always remember: Do not rub your eyes if they are wet! This could be causing the smudging.
-
Make sure that you always have “little helpers” in your makeup bag. Makeup remover wipes (to cleanse the face if required), BeautyBlender (or Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge), and cotton buds. Keep these things handy during inclement weather.
