Flying With Kids – What to Wear?!

A short or long flight with children, especially if it is your first trip with the whole family, you may have many questions. Our family often travel. And the most important question I have always had: What should my son wear? Today I will share some tips.

Flying with kids – What to wear travel

Everyone who has ever flown on an airplane knows that there may be cold, seats are not the most comfortable and unfortunately you spend most of your time sitting, so it’s really important that things are comfortable and warm. But it is also important where you fly. Last winter from Russia in warm jackets and hats, we flew to United Arab Emirates in T-shirts and shorts.

Flying with kids – What to wear kids

  • T-shirt with long or short sleeves depending on weather; sweater and jacket that can be folded on top shelf of plane.

Flying with kids – What to wear girls

  • Comfortable pants – sweatpants, leggings or stretch pants with elastic waist. Sitting in jeans is not bad for 1 hour, but flying more than 5 hours is not convenient.

Flying with kids – What to wear baby

  • If you have a long night flight and your children are very little, take pajamas with you. You can dress babies and they will sleep better.
  • Take a pair of warm socks with you so that your child’s legs do not freeze when he takes off his shoes. This will help make flight more comfortable.
  • Take a light blanket in your carry-on baggage. In plane, blankets are provided, but it can be very prickly. I usually take a small blanket for my son that folds easily and does not take up much space.
  • Take clothes depending on the weather at your destination. For example, shorts if it is hot country.

You cannot freely choose clothes for older children, but you can help them make a sensible choice.

Where to buy comfortable clothes for children?

You know that I’m a big fan of online shopping. I chose several fashion shops for kids at affordable prices.

A large selection of clothes for any weather to boys and girls can be found on Joules website. Land’s End and M&Co also have good clothes.

Do you have any tips on what to wear for plane?
