6 Tips To Set Yourself Up For a Productive Day

Imagine that you have a busy day at work, or you are working on a thesis or you have a lot of chores. What to do?! How to start and make day more effective and productive?!

6 tips to set yourself up for a productive day

Today I would like to share with you some tips that will help you.
  • Bed – after you wake up take a several minutes to make the bed. You see, you are awake only for several minutes and you’ve already done something useful! In addition, it is so pleasant to come back home after a busy day and you have a bed made, it is nice and cosy in the bedroom.
  • Water – in the morning, your body is dehydrated because it hasn’t received water for about 8 hours. In addition, we sweat while sleeping. This loss of water can be supplied by a glass or a bottle of water in the morning. Water fills our body with moisture, we wake up and feel better. The risk of a headache which will prevent you to make all the things planned for the day is decreased.
  • Workout – sounds a little silly but the usual workout is very good to do especially in the morning! It depends on how much free time you have but even if it takes only 5-10 minutes it is perfect. You will feel yourself more cheerful, get good mood and ready for a busy day. But if you don’t like exercise, try meditating in the morning.
  • Music – good music makes you feel better, so start your day with your favorite music! When you are in good mood in the morning your day will be more productive. Listen to the music, for example, while taking shower or while working out. I listen to music while doing make-up.
  • To-do list – it perfectly helps me to make everything planned for the day. Otherwise, the half of the tasks is not completed. Just make sure that you’ve made a real list with really important tasks. Let it be about 3 important tasks a day. It is especially useful when you need to complete some tasks to a certain day or hour.

Look up your list at midday. What have you already done and what is left? If all the tasks are completed, maybe you can put some tasks from tomorrow on today. Think what would you like to do after lunch. Plan your lunch break. It is better to spend it outdoors, to speak with colleagues, the most important is not to work at this time. So you will rest during your lunchtime and you will have enough power to work after lunch.

  • Cleaning – when you have completed all tasks planned, make sure that you have free time to clean your workspace. So you will be able to start your new day with a clean slate. Besides, the cleaned working space or house will make you feel better. Anxiety in the morning (when you clean before work) distracts, so the cleaned working space will provide you with a more productive day.

I hope that you like to read my tips. How is your day going on? Do you have any tips that will help to spend a more useful and productive day?

Music is the most important one for me. Music in my car. Music when cleaning. Music to go to sleep by. I appreciate that you included music in this list.

My to do list is key. And thankful my husband makes the bed:). I would procrastinate all day if I didn’t make my list the night before! Great tips.

I definitely need to adapt a to-do list. Even though I have a draw full of “to-do” stationary! I always make a note in my mind, thinking that will be enough for me to remember! Seemingly it never is
